National Institute of Design (NID) is internationally acclaimed as one of the finest educational and research institutions for Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. The application process for NID starts every year in the month of October. Admission to NID is on the basis of a Design Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted at 11 centers around India. Industrial Design Center – IIT Bombay
Industrial Design Centre (IDC) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay) offers an excellent environment for academics, research and applications in the field of design. IDC has academic programs in the areas of Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, Animation and Mobility & Vehicle Design.

Admission to IIT-IDC M.Des. programs is on the basis of a Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) and IIT-IDC B.Des. programs is on the basis of a Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) conducted at various centers across India. Candidates who qualify through CEED / UCEED will have to then apply to IIT-IDC for the M.Des. / B.Des. program. Based on the CEED score, Top 100 in each stream will be called for a written test and interview. A weightage of 25% will be given to CEED score & the remaining weightage will be divided within the written test & the interview.
B.Des: Students who have appeared or passed for 12th Std. exam. Maximum of 2 attempts are allowed. A 5 year, dual degree B. Des + M. Des programme is also available. The option of doing dual degree B Des + M Des will be available only at the end of the 3rd year.
M.Des: All Degree/Diploma/Professional courses must satisfy 10+2+4 pattern or more. Eligibility defers as per the course selected.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)
National Institute of Fashion Technology was set up in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The Institute is a pioneer in envisioning and evolving fashion business education in the country through a network of fifteen professionally managed domestic centres.

Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT)
MIT Institute of Design is a design school situated in Pune, Maharashtra, India. MIT ID is established by MAEER’s (Maharashtra Academy of Engineering & Education Research) Group.
The admission process is in two phases:

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) offers an Under-Graduate Programme in Design and is under the ‘Faculty of Media, Communication and Design’ of the Symbiosis International University (SIU).
Students are required to take the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). If a candidate qualifies SET , he/she would be eligible to appear for SID’s Studio Test. If a candidate qualifies the Studio Test, he/she is eligible to appear for Personal Interaction.
